The Product
Acoustic Barrier Verification System (ABVS)
The Acoustic Barrier Verification System (ABVS) is a cutting-edge addition to our industry-leading barrier verification solutions. Designed for wireless, realtime integrity monitoring, it features an advanced acoustic transducer module equipped with pressure and temperature sensors.
The system comprises a downhole transmitter, seamlessly installed below any plugging device, and a surface receiver that deciphers signals traveling through the casing conduit. During plug pressure testing, the sensors detect and transmit critical data to the surface, enabling instant confirmation of plug integrity over long distances. The system continuously monitors conditions below the plug in real time, with the flexibility to adjust measurement frequency; extending barrier surveillance for up to two years. All data is stored on downhole transmitter and can be downloaded upon retrieval.
Application
The ABVS is designed for a range of applications, including:
- Verification of barrier integrity for temporary intervention plugs, bismuth alloy plugs, and permanent mechanical barriers.
- Logging of the setting sequence while capturing real-time pressure and temperature data.
- Reservoir pressure monitoring during field abandonment operations. With its unparalleled wireless verification capabilities, real-time data transmission, and long-term monitoring flexibility, the ABVS sets a new standard in barrier verification technology.
- Shallow set dual barrier
- Gas cavern
- XMT/Wellhead maintenance or replacement
- Casing plug
